The Hall, new parallel bars element

James Hall has debuted a new skill on parallel bars, a front straddle toss with a ½ twist to upper arms

James Hall of team Great Britain has debuted a new skill on parallel bars, a front straddle toss with a ½ twist to upper arms. The skill has officially been accepted into the FIG Code of Points and assigned an "E" value.

After competing the skill, Hall wrote on social media:

It’s been a long journey with this skill! First tried it 10 years ago, an idea conceived by Barry Collie and clever work and belief from Ionut Trandaburu over the years lead to this moment! It’ll be etched into the history books and take its place in the code of points (the gymnastics bible)!

Hall also received some encouragement form his teammates. British national team member and world medalist Courtney Tulloch wrote:

So hyped it’s finally out! 🤩 HALL in the code forever. You legend ❤️

According to the Men’s Code of Points, a skill can be named after a gymnast if it debuts at an official FIG competition, has a difficulty rating of "C" or higher, and is executed without a fall. By meeting all these criteria, Hall's new skill has earned a spot in the code of points.
